Jump to next track, half way through listening to track, all by it's self ...???

Hiya,

just wondering if you may have any idea as to what is causing this automated jump.

I could be listening all evening and then suddenly, while half way through a track, it will stop, and the next track will start to play... all by it's self.

Or I could listen for 1/2 hour and it would skip forward 3 or 4 times, all seems a bit random to me and not actually managed to work out a patten.

Today on the second listen to an album, one track stopped mid flow, and the next track started... I went back to the start of the track that stopped half way through and switched my ipeng ipod to airplane mode just incase it was sending skip signals all by it's self. The track still skipped to the next, while in mid flow..?

This is a newly ripped track using EAC with no errors... then converted to FLAC.

Next time I come across a track that skips forward, I will return to its beginning and play it again, if it skips again, or if it does not, any ideas as to what it could be ?
or what I could test ?
