Sounds like an interesting academic exercise :-). But though I think it
has been done before (some user running LMS in his car...), I wouldn't
want to waste the time. You'll have to have absolute identical file
paths for caches, music files, playlists etc. for the scanning machine
as well as the music server. Then make sure you copy the files to the
right places etc. If you have a NAS capable of running the scanner, why
not run LMS on it, too?
