I have three playlists with German and French music and the track names contain Umlauts. These playlists only get read partially (not all tracks in the list) when I do "only rescan playlists".
I have had this problem before and then found out that playlists in LMS neet to be saved in UTF8, not in ANSI format. So I create the playlists as follows:
- dump the tracks into Playlist Creator http://www.oddgravity.de/app-opc.php
- save the playlist
- open it in Notepad++, convert to UTF8 and save again
In the past (LMS 7.7) this worked fine. I have now upgraded to LMS 7.9 and I am experiencing, that the playlist are only partly read. Some of the tracks are missing.
I am not using LMS to create the playlists, because I want to be able to use them when using DLNA.
I have attached one of the playlists that cause problems.
