"Date modified" being updated by . . . what? "New Music" is thus wrong.

Sorry if this has been covered recently - just chastise me and point me at the relevant thread (I did do a Search . . .). I haven't visited recently because everything has been working fine.

I've recently (a few weeks) noticed my <New Music> entries being updated with items that certainly are not new when I do a re-scan. When I look at the actual music files, <Date modified> has indeed been updated by something, so LMS is doing what it is supposed to do (using <Date created> versus <Date modified> is a different debate I know). But I have no idea what updated <Date modified>. Whatever it is just clobbers a few albums at a time and I can see no pattern to what is chosen. The latest albums that have been updated have not been played by LMS (or any other player for that reason) for many months and yet their <Date modified> is today at 21:50.

Anyone experienced similar problems or have any ideas? I've had a quick look at Event Viewer but can find nothing so far (though I don't know what I'm looking for).

LMS 7.7.5 is running on W10 Home Version 1607 under Bootcamp 6.0 on a 2016 iMac under Sierra. Music is stored on the iMac hard disk (under Bootcamp) in the default W10 <Music> folder. Disk is 3TB Fusion.

Thanks
