transporter digital loop and digital input selection

Imagine I have a Transporter in a digital loop with a BEHRINGER DEQ2496 (via XLR) where the DEQ is also setup to accept an analogue input which is then going out on its digital XLR out (which is obviously one leg of the digital loop).

So when the Transporter is playing a stream, by definition the digital loop is active and all is well.

My question is, if I then select the Transporter source to be the XLR digital in (from the DEQ XLR out), can someone confirm that because the digital loop is now "broken", the Transporter analogue outs will correctly play whatever is coming over the XLR digital in?

Or do I need to deconfigure the digital loop first?
