Stream issues when login is enabled - "Connections require authentication"

Hi,

I was fighting for months with the drawback and firmware issues of my Pioneer VSX-527 playing internet radio (custom streams as Radiotunes/DI premium user), yesterday I discovered the LMS and with the use of the AirPlay Bridge plugin it solves all my problems. This server is *exactly* what I was looking for! I'm very happy and plan to extend that to some multiroom setups in the future. Thanks for maintaining this awesome product! :cool:

There is one issue which I can't solve. First the AirPlay to my VSX did not work for MP3 radio stations, I found the solution by transcoding to PCM. That's mostly fine now (Sometimes I need to switch of the Player and on again, but that's a minor issue and does not happen during playback).

But I want to secure the server to use it also remotely. So I did enable the login protection - works fine for the web interface, but now I again have problems playing MP3 streams! The radio station just does not play when the login is activated, in the server logs I see these entries whenever I start the playback:

Code:

[17-11-15 19:14:25.9434] Slim::Plugin::CLI::Plugin::cli_process (609) Error: Connections require authentication, check login command.
[17-11-15 19:14:25.9436] Slim::Plugin::CLI::Plugin::cli_process (610) Error: Disconnecting: 10.0.6.1:36812

It seems that something internal does not deal with the active login. 10.0.6.1 is the IP address of the LMS server itself, so it seems to be a local connection. Maybe the Squeezelight-part of the AirPlay Bridge plugin?

I did not find anything specific in the forums, so I appreciate ideas ... as long as I can't login protect the LMS I can't expose it to the internet connection.

VBR,
Marco
