Constant "problem connecting"

I'm at wit's end. For months now, I've been having nearly-hourly problems "connecting" to my music library. I get the dreaded red antenna. I've tried everything that I can think of, and that has been suggested here. I've reinstalled LMS several times, I've even gone back from 7.7.2 to 7.6.1. Nothing has worked for more than 1 day.

I've had this Vista Home desktop for ~5 years, and it is a very capable, powerful machine. Until 6 months ago, I never had *any* issues with the whole Squeezebox system. Now I have nothing but issues.

The only thing that gets everything up/running, is a complete reboot of my system, which isn't convenient (to say the least); that solves the problems for a couple hours. Doing "hard" shutdowns of Squeeze programs via Task Manager sometimes works, sometimes doesn't... once the "problem connecting" issue happens, I can't "stop Squeeze Center" from the desktop icons; it's "frozen".

Before I do something really drastic like buying a whole new PC just to run Squeezebox, here is my last request for HELP. I am not a techie.

I'm running a Dell PC with Vista Home. I have a Duet and a Transporter. I connect wirelessly (and don't have any apparent home network issues, outside of LMS).
