Hoping someone can help me with this.
I've tried searching the forums etc but i cant figure this out so i've had to sign up so i could ask for help. Hopefully i give enough relevant information that someone can point me in the right direction.
I've added some new music but cant seem to be able to rescan my library. In the past when i have done a rescan i could watch the progress and see that a scan was taking place but now nothing seems to happen. On the main logitech media server screen i can see at the bottom of the screen it says 'rescanning media library' and in the information screen where i normally see the progress of the scan i have the option to abort the scan but there's no details like i've seen before about how many songs have been scanned etc.
i saw the following in the log file with todays date on it (although this has been going on for awhile) which i guess may be relevant to the problem -

I see people talking about version numbers so in case it matters mine says -
Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.2 - r33893 @ Wed Mar 14 05:47:42 PDT 2012
and just for the record , in case it matters, i only have a boom on my network at the moment and run the server on my laptop and all my music is mp3 format stored on my laptop in 'mymusic' with individual folders for each artist . i've had it for maybe 18 months to 2 years at a guess. i've managed to get by til now with just reading the forum but this has me stumped.
when i abort the scan i can continue to use everything as before but i'd like to get back to being able to add new music again.
anyone know what i need to do to get back to normality as i cant figure this out?
