New to LMS and have been reading here...but haven't been able to confirm "correct" behavior.
If I add new media (a video file) to one of my library directories, it doesn't show up in the indexed "Video" category on my playback clients unless I rescan , as expected. However, even though it DOES show up in the "video folder" directory...I still can't play it until a rescan. I was under the impression that was the "raw" view of the underlying folder and new media should be accessible there immediately?
Also, the "Look for new and changed media files" setting for scan seems to choke if I have removed files. Is this by design? Is the only recourse to clear and rescan?
