Hi everybody
The only purpose of my itx-Server is to serve our squeezebox clients: 1 touch, 2 Boom, 1 radio, 3 duet, 3 controller, 1 iPad, 3 iPhone (as controller).
It often happens, that the streams interrupt for some seconds. I can recognize in the taskmanager that - especially when using the controller(s) - then the use of the harddisk goes up to 95 - 100%. Now I changed - just for fun - the music source to the backup on my readynas duo (raid).
Scanning happend within 5 minutes (?)and access seems to me much faster. Is it possible, that a configuration with a small pc an a separate nas is faster, than only using a pc with one HD? Or do I probably face another problem with my usual configuration? Any idea, thanks.
Hardware/OS:
atombased poket-pc 2x 1,6 ghz
2 gb ram
1 tb hd
Windows 8.1, 64-bit
20'000 Songs on Partition d:
many add-ons installed
