Issue with QOBUZ Plugin (tracks not available for streaming with an Asterisk label*)

Hi,
I have an issue with the Qobuz plugin!
LMS shows some albums with an asterisk, while I can listen to them in Qobuz (Mac version).
And when I try to delete them from my favorites in Qobuz (Mac version) in order to recreate the same favorite album, I can see it twice in the plugin.
And when an album disappear from Qobuz, I can not get rid of it in LMS.

Any solution for that? (I love the Qobuz plugin, thanks to Pierre/Michael)

END OF MY ROPE! "Can't connect to server..."

Hi guys, I've been using squeezeboxes since the early days of V1 SlimStuff. In fact I still have one working. And 4 others from Logitech, V2 & 3.

They've always been plagued by stream interruptions stating, "Cannot connect to server," even when not in use, then they'll reconnect. Sometimes it's very quick, sometimes it's hours. Sometimes they freeze completely. All using latest firmware & server software. Have tried previous versions also, same problem.

The ONLY thing that helps is re-booting the computer running squeezebox server AND re-booting router, then they perform perfectly for about a week. Only doing one of those things doesn't help. I'm sick of re-booting everything.

This happens with multiple players in virtually any format - local server, NAS, Squeezebox.com, everything. Happens using any router & any signal strength (all are good & well over 50% signal on a very fast home network).

I'm at the end of my rope. So before switching to the Amazon Echo, which I don't want to do, is there anything I can try to resolve this? Win 7 OS here with TP Link AC1750.

Upgrade Wifi - Mesh - Which one?

Hi

I am contemplating to upgrade my wifi and I am leaning towards a mesh network - but they are considerably more expensive than a conventional wifi with extenders.

My question: can you recommend any? Are they worth the money? Although the flat is not to big, we have concrete walls and have quite bad reception in half of the rooms. Any suggestions? Wiring is not really an option, as we are only renting.

Can't add 3rd party plugins

I can' install 3rd party plugins via the LMS plugins settings page. It's the exact same behaviour as described here, but in my case on a Synology NAS, rather than QNAP.

Karlek posted a quick solution in the thread mentioned above for QNAP. I think in my case it's a similar problem, but I'm not familar with the QNAP world and don't know, what's the background of this config change for the SSOTS service or how and where it could be applied on a Synology NAS.

Does anyone know the root cause for this behavior and how to solve it?

Export playlist of music files to USB pen drive

Is there a plugin/add-on that will let me export/copy a playlist of music files (the actual flac files) from LMS to a USB pen drive?
I can copy files to my android devices using orange squeeze but the wife doesn't like using her phone to play music in the car and wants to use a USB pen drive.
I can drag and drop music to it using file explorer but it's a bit of a pita.
It would be great if I could create a playlist of the music she wants in the car and copy those files directly to a USB stick.
Anyone know of any way of achieving this?

Issue: authentication is required to access logitech media server

Everything was working fine, then the other day I went to use the LMS control panel and it wanted me to login. Pup-up box said 'Authentication is required to access logitech media server". It's never asked for that before. Tried windows login username and pass but that wasn't it. Also, rebooted pc, and installed a newer version (7.9.1-1519287262) but neither set things right.

Server is still running and I can play music from the SB interface, just can't get to things on pc or iPeng on iPad and iPhone. They all ask me for username and password.

I'd guess there is a method to do a clean install or is there a settings file I can delete to reset things?

Apologies if this has been discussed before but I'm struggling big time. Until today I was able to access radio services on my SB radio and Touches via LMS hosted on my ReadyNas 212. Today I can't, (I get a 'failure to resolve IP address message) and the reason has to be that I've swapped ISP from Sky to PlusNet. The gateway IP is different on the new router and I've configured this on the ReadyNas but without success. Is there a DNS setting anywhere in LMS that I have to change as well (because I can't find it if there is!) ? Also, I am able to stream music from the server to my SB devices with wireless but can't get Ethernet to work.

Any ideas/help would be very greatly appreciated.

Alarm Feature request

In my system I use several different methods of "powering up" amplifiers connected to squeeze devices, all of these work on the "Power" state of the players.

The problem I'm having is that I now have a valve (tube) power amplifier for my bedroom system this takes nearly a minute to warm up after power on this gives me two problems:-
The volume has ramped up quite a bit in the time the amp has taken to warm up and is loud and very distorted (due to the valves not being warm enough).

I have the same problem (to a far less extent) with my solid state amps which take a couple of seconds to un mute after power on

Is it possible to modify the alarm plugin to have a setting to switch player "power" on x seconds before the alarm is triggered ?

A time of 0 (or 1) to maybe 300 or 600 seconds to allow for some stabilization of amp parameters (whether SS or valve)

Random and very annoying glitch

My Squeezebox setup has LMS on a Vortexbox and I play it mostly through RPi/PcP and Windows Squeezelite clients.

I'm suffering from a really annoying problem where the music just stops. As it happens on PcP and my Windows PC I am assuming it is a server issue rather than a PcP/Squeeselite one, but happy to be put right on that. It certainly takes place when listening through the iPlayer plugin but also when I listen to My Music.

Today, as an example, a PcP unit was started at 7am and ran through until 8:07pm when it stopped.

Meanwhile my Windows PC upstairs had been playing from for a couple of hours before stopping at 8:00pm. I have restarted and it has stopped randomly twice in the last 20 minutes while I write this.

I have looked at the LMS logs and attach them here:
The RPi/PcP is 74:da:38:54:5a:69
The Win Squeezelite is c8:60:00:cc:4f:82

Does the attached log reveal any problems? I'm sorry I don't know enough to interpret it.

No, you build outside, and only copy the resulting Scan.pm and Scan.so
to the right place (CPAN/arch/5.14/{your architecture}/Audio)

Artwork Display Priority

There are times when I have cover art embedded in tags but want the separate folder "cover.jpg" to show in LMS web summary views, e.g. albums by artist. For instance, the box artwork (separate file) from a box of reissued 45s that each have sleeve artwork (embedded). Is there a way to set priority for this?

UPDATE: I've done some further research and learned LMS always gives priority to embedded artwork. Are there any other options? Say, I create subfolders for each 45, remove the embedded artwork, and include a "cover.jpg" in each subfolder. How would that work?

Can't play stream through LMS; other players work fine

I'm trying to play a particular stream (or series of) through LMS. They play fine through VLC or directly through a browser.

One example stream is http://emit-media-production.s3.amaz...-rising_64.m4a

The debug logs in from LMS are

I've sniffed the network traffic on the server using tcpdump/wireshark and it _seems_ that the file starts streaming successfully (at least from a network perspective), but the LMS server isn't doing anything with it.

Any ideas?
