No, it's no more secure than status.html. But it works.

And you can use it to query the server, too. The response would be JSON
formatted data which is much more reliable to parse. It's design to
handle commands, whereas the status.html is a hack.

Napster problem on LMS

Hello everyone
I installed LMS on RPI2 with Debian.
Here are the informations of my build:



Logitech Media Server Version : 7.9.1 - 1521477787 @ Mon Mar 26 14:30:20 CEST 2018

I have a problem that I can not solve.
Impossible to make Napster work.
The Napster 1.0 plugin is installed under LMS.
I installed the Napster app with MySB.com
When i use Napster app i have a message : " This deck does not support Napster. You must have Squeezebox2 or higher."
How can I do?
Something I forgot?
After more than 4 hours trying I need a lot of help.

View/edit Squeezebox Boom presets from LMS web interface?

I use Music IP as my library. The configuration has been unchanged for years and has been functioning better than ever for the past 18 months on a new windows 10 machine.

Pi3B+, Pi3B and MYSQL

I am one of those odd people who prefers to run MYSQL rather than SQLITE.

I recently purchased a Pi3b+, installed LMS 7.91 on it (7.90 on the old Pi3B) and changed the prefs file to use MYSQL.

At the same time I installed Mariadb 10.11.23 (have been using MYSQL 5.557 on the pi3B).




Scan times for my 16,338 tracks (on a USB 2TB WD elents disk) are as follows (No plugins are in use on either Pi):

Pi3B 35 minutes

Pi 3B+ 15 minutes

Remember this is not a direct comparison between Pi3B and Pi3B+ as the database version on the Pi3B+ is much newer, and LMS is slightly newer, but it seems to indicate that upgrades can sometimes be worthwhile. On the other hand, at the same time I upgraded my php from 5.6 to 7.0 and am having to rewrite all my programs to use the MySQLi Extension, which is a major PITA.... :(

Radios stopped connecting to LMS - Help

Just moved to a new house. Set up everything - no changes to the network - and none of my 3 radios will connect to LMS. They all play favorites from Mysqueezebox.com just fine, but no luck connecting to LMS and accessing favorites or local music.

I'm at a loss as to what to try, short of a clean install of LMS, which I'd really like to avoid. I'm running the latest version of LMS on the latest version of Mac OSX.

Any and all suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

How do I delay the startup of LMS on a Debian server to ensure that the MusicIP server starts first? My other server was max2play and had an option to delay LMS startup but I have no idea how this was achieved.

When I scan my library I have been repeatedly running into this error recently. There are some tracks in my library that are not showing up in the iPeng app that I use to control the system but I have confirmed that they are present in my library.
I am running LMS on Windows Server 2012 R2. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

pCP LMS server net mount setup error

Today I started the insitu update for pCPc3.5.0 and the LMS Setup Network Disk Mount ends always with an error message

Delete old "Presets" TuneIn Issue?

Hello (Apologies if in wrong forum)

On my LMS, I have found a bunch of stations under Home > Radio > My Presets that are showing "Not-Supported" in the title. Clicking on the station and I get a TuneIn message saying not supported.

How do I delete these stations from the actual menu? They don't show up in my online Tunein.com account, and I can't get the little "X" to show up when I click on the menu heading tree (going into edit mode like for regular favorites).

Latest stable version and where to download?

Dear community, I use Squeezebox since a long time now. Now issue! Just great!
But it changed some days ago. I do not know what happend - but suddenly The music paths are not known anymore, Music styles and random music play replicated itself with many more unwanted options, new menues appear (most make no sense for me)...

What happend?
What is the latest (really) stable release and where should I download it?

LMS default local radiostation list does not show SRF 3 again

Hi

Since a couple of day's in the switzerland local radiostation list , radiostation SRF 3 is missing.
the local radiostation list for switzerland is called zurich.

Is it possible to edit this default list on LMS myself? If not can somebody please add SRF 3 again. (SRF 1, SRF 2 and SRF 4 are still available and working)

Erlang's Custom Browse now defunct in

latest LMS nightly builds.

It's Genre-Album is my primary way of finding music in my 3300+ album music
collection. The normal Genre option sorts by Artist. With a bazillion
artists it's not practical to find anything browsing into Genre. Pondering
options, I found out how to use Advanced Search to display the album's in a
genre. I have to do a separate search for each genre, so it's cumbersome
though it does work.

But that lead me to think about the current Genre view. It shows a list of
the genre's and then in each are shown all artists in that genre, sorted.
This list has to be created by a database query. I know SQL would use
"order by <artist>" to do this. How hard would it be to modify the query to
"order by <album>"?

Seems like it should be rather easy ... literally change a single query
term. But WHERE is this query in the LMS code? And what is the syntax of
the DB code or keywords to do this?

Thoughts?

Is there another option that does not require putting 3300+ little files in
every folder of my music library?

macOS update - Players Fail to Connect to LMS

Recently updated to macOS 10.13.4. Now cannot connect any of my Squeezebox players (BOOM and RADIO).

Tried clean re-install of 7.9.1. Players connect to my squeezebox.com but not to LMS.

LMS appears to be running correctly. Accepts mysqueezebox.com password and says connected but Server log shows:-

I don't think there's any easy way to compare the two collections. I
would assume you checked scanner.log for any failures?
